What is titanium lifting
"Titanium lifting" is not a device name. It runs on the Alma Soprano Titanium, a diode laser with three wavelengths that was originally designed for hair removal. Korean dermatologists developed the lifting protocol, which fires the three wavelengths (755, 810 and 1064 nm) at the same time. The device's Trio applicator emits all three at once.
Unlike most lifting devices, which use radiofrequency or focused ultrasound, this one is a laser. Alma now markets the protocol abroad as "TitaniumLift". Alma describes it as a Korean-origin protocol of about 20 minutes that gives deep dermal heating with simultaneous triple wavelengths. Alma Korea registered the "Titanium Lifting" and "Soprano Titanium" trademarks in Korea in 2022.
Regulatory status
- Korea (MFDS). We could not confirm an MFDS approval for Soprano Titanium. Some clinic pages claim a Korean approval, but they are marketing pages and we do not use them as a source.
- United States (FDA). The FDA cleared the Alma Soprano Titanium on 12 October 2022 (510(k) K222064) for hair removal, vascular lesions (in Trio HR mode) and near-infrared topical heating. The clearance lists no lifting, tightening or wrinkle indication. The 755 nm and 810 nm applicators are cleared for permanent reduction in hair regrowth, and the Trio applicator's SHR mode for temporary hair reduction. A "clearance" is not an approval, and a clearance for these uses does not cover lifting.
- Evidence. Our searches found published papers on Soprano Titanium for hair removal and fat reduction, but none on the lifting protocol. We did not find independent evidence on how well titanium lifting works.
How clinics in Korea price titanium lifting
Korean clinics price titanium lifting by energy, not by shots. These patterns are common in the prices that clinics in this directory publish:
- By kilojoules. A kilojoule (kJ) is a unit of the total energy delivered. Items are listed at set energy levels, for example 40 kJ or 80 kJ. A higher kJ number means more total energy delivered. Energy levels differ between clinics, so compare the same kJ and area.
- Face or body. Some clinics list V-line, full-face and body items separately. Some clinics use names such as "Hyper Titanium" or "Body Titanium". Ask what each name means.
- Packages. Some clinics sell titanium lifting together with another device, a skin booster or skin care. A package price is not comparable to a titanium-only price.
- Head doctor. Some clinics charge more when the head doctor performs it.
- VAT. Most clinics list "부가세 별도" (bugase byeoldo), which means VAT is charged on top. Some include VAT or do not state it.
- Event prices. Time-limited event prices are common. Check the end date.

Downtime and aftercare
We could not confirm downtime for titanium lifting. Neither the maker's TitaniumLift release nor the FDA summary gives any, and we found no label or journal statement for the lifting protocol. Only clinic pages describe it, and we do not use them as a source.
Alma recommends a treatment of about 20 minutes once a month. Your doctor gives aftercare instructions and decides the number of sessions.
Questions to ask the clinic
- Is the device the Alma Soprano Titanium? Ask to see the machine and the applicator.
- How many kJ does the price include, and for which area?
- What does the clinic mean by "Hyper Titanium" or "Body Titanium", if it uses those names?
- What does the clinic say the downtime and the risks are? Ask where that comes from.
- How many sessions does the doctor suggest, and how far apart?
- Is the price a package with another treatment? What is in it?
- Is VAT included (부가세 별도 means it is not), and is this a regular or an event price?

FAQ
What is titanium lifting?
Titanium lifting is a Korean skin-lifting protocol that runs on Alma's Soprano Titanium, a diode laser. It fires three wavelengths (755, 810 and 1064 nm) at the same time. The device was designed for hair removal, and Korean dermatologists developed the lifting protocol. Alma markets it abroad as TitaniumLift, a protocol of about 20 minutes.
Is titanium lifting FDA approved?
The device is FDA-cleared, but not for lifting. The Alma Soprano Titanium clearance (K222064, 2022) lists hair removal, vascular lesions and near-infrared heating, and no lifting, tightening or wrinkle indication. A clearance is not an approval. We could not confirm an MFDS approval for it either.
How is titanium lifting different from Ultherapy or Thermage?
It uses a different technology. Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound and Thermage uses radiofrequency, while titanium lifting is a laser that heats the skin with three wavelengths at once. Our sources include no head-to-head study comparing them. Each device has its own regulatory status, which the pages on this site set out.
How many titanium lifting sessions do I need?
Alma recommends its TitaniumLift treatment of about 20 minutes once a month. Our sources give no number of sessions or expected results, and we found no study of the lifting protocol. Your doctor decides the number and the interval after an examination. Ask the clinic where its schedule comes from.
How much does titanium lifting cost in Korea?
Korean clinics usually price titanium lifting per session by energy in kilojoules, for example 40 kJ or 80 kJ, and some list face and body items separately. Some sell packages with another treatment. VAT is often listed separately. The table on this page shows each clinic's published price with the VAT basis and the check date.
