Leading treatments

Septoplasty

Septoplasty is surgery to straighten a deviated nasal septum. The clinic describes it as an operation under local anesthesia, lasting 20–30 minutes, with same-day admission; it says most patients go home the same day without a guardian. It says packing is placed in both sides of the nose for 1 day and removed at the clinic the next day, that absorbable stitches dissolve in 2–3 weeks, and that you should protect the nose from impact for 2 weeks. No price is published, and septoplasty is not on the clinic's lists of non-covered items.

Turbinate reduction

Turbinate reduction shrinks the turbinates, the ridges inside the nose. The clinic calls it rhinitis surgery and lists chronic congestion, allergic or hypertrophic rhinitis, snoring and sleep apnea as reasons for it. It says the operation takes 15–20 minutes under topical and injected local anesthesia, with no packing and same-day admission. It says crusting lasts about 2 weeks, with a weekly follow-up dressing, and that you should avoid strenuous exercise, nose blowing and saunas for 1 week. No price is published.

Endoscopic sinus surgery

Endoscopic sinus surgery opens the sinus passages through the nose using an endoscope. The clinic lists nasal polyps, sinusitis that does not respond to medication, sinusitis with complications, fungal sinusitis and recurrent acute sinusitis as reasons for it. It says the operation is done under local anesthesia and takes about 30 minutes per side, or about 1 hour for both, after a sinus CT scan and nasal endoscopy. It says absorbable packing stays for 1 day, antibiotics are taken for 1 week, crusting lasts 2–3 weeks and follow-up is weekly. No price is published.

Nasal fracture reduction

Nasal fracture reduction realigns a broken nose bone. The clinic says it is done under local anesthesia in about 15 minutes, ideally within 2 weeks of the injury, with nasal packing for 2 days and an external splint for 5 days. No price is published.

Snoring surgery

The clinic evaluates snoring with nasal endoscopy, a cephalogram, CT and a sleep study, and says nasal procedures for snoring are done under local anesthesia with same-day discharge. It also offers radiofrequency tongue base reduction, in which a local anesthetic is injected into the tongue base. It says some patients need more than one session and that a sore throat and a swollen-tongue feeling last for several days. The clinic's fee notice lists the procedure at ₩250,000–₩1,000,000, but the notice was last changed on 31 March 2021, so confirm the price. The setting for throat surgery is discussed individually, according to the clinic.

Allergy immunotherapy

The clinic offers sublingual dust-mite immunotherapy, a daily tablet placed under the tongue, after allergy testing by skin or blood test. It says the first dose is taken at the clinic under observation, that treatment is commonly continued for about three years and that it suits long-term residents better than short-stay visitors. Its fee notice lists the tablets at ₩200,000 with no unit; "per package" is our reading. The notice was last changed on 31 March 2021, so ask for the current price and quantity.

IV therapy

The clinic runs an IV clinic with private single-room suites. It says a session takes about 30 minutes, uses single-use consumables, is given only after the doctor's review, and that the clinic does not recommend excessive IV therapy. Its fee notice lists nutrition IVs at ₩40,000–₩170,000 per session without saying which IV costs what, and the notice was last changed on 31 March 2021. Parking is covered for IV patients, according to the clinic.

Prices

The clinic's English website publishes no prices and says non-covered fees are explained before treatment. Two Korean sources exist. One is HIRA's non-covered fee disclosure for the clinic (18 items, no reference date); the other is the clinic's own fee notice on its Korean website, in which every row was last changed on 31 March 2021. Rows marked "HIRA disclosure" use HIRA's figure; rows marked "clinic's fee notice" appear only on the 2021 notice, so confirm them with the clinic. For three items (nasal valve reconstruction, the smell test and the single room) the 2021 notice gives a price range and HIRA a single figure inside that range; HIRA's figure is shown. VAT is not stated on either list. No event or discount prices were found. Surgery for septoplasty, turbinate reduction, endoscopic sinus surgery and nasal fracture reduction, and the first consultation for visitors without Korean insurance, have no published price, so ask before treatment.
